Music Evermore

Music has been evermore part and parcel of Northern Ireland and will/has influenced popular music internationally now and forever.

Van the man laid down his shammy to become Northern Ireland’s most famous musical export. Since then Belfast and Northern Ireland has spawned Stiff Little Fingers, The Outcast and Rudi from the Belfast punk underground, Fighting With Wire and Jetplane Landing who have recently broken through, Ash from Downpatrick, Snow Patrol(most members are from Belfast and Bangor) and metal bands such as Condemned and Gama Bomb who have achieved large loyal followings.

Whilst mentioning the bands we must not forget the many Northern Irish individual such as the late Gary Moore, guitarist for Thin Lizzy, and Vivian Campbell, guitarist for Def Leppard.

Too Many to mention !

There are many more individuals and bands I have not mentioned but they all contributed to making northern Ireland then land of musicians and Belfast is still spawning band such as General Fiasco and Nine Lies who no doubt have the potential to get the same kind of success Van the man has afforded and long may it continue.
